1.Establishment of Legal Literacy Clubs on 14.1.2012
PULSA established Student Legal Literacy Clubs in D.A.V. College for Women Garhshankar District Hoshiapur which was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M.Kumar, Executive Chairman, PULSA.
2.Campaign on Child Rights on 14.1.2012
Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M. Kumar, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman of PULSA and Mrs. Santosh K. Kumar visited ChildrenHome, Old age home and Observation Home, Hoshiarpur and took note of their problems. Hon'ble Executive Chairman after listening to the problems issued directions to all the District & Sessions Judges to speed up Juvenile cases and to implement the provisions of Rule 11 of the Juvenile Justice Act. Consequent there upon large number of Juvenile have been released from various observation homes in the State of Punjab.
3.Inauguration of Legal Literacy Club on 14.1.2012
A Legal Literacy Club was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M. Kumar, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court & Executive Chairman, PULSA on 14.1.2012 at S.G.G.S. Khalsa College, Mahilpur District, Hoshiarpur.
4.Legal Literacy Camp on 12.2.2012
Punjab Legal Services Authority has organised a Legal Literacy Camp at Village Kansal, Tehsil & District Mohali. Madam Kumar presided over the Legal Literacy Camp. Sh. Gurpreet Singh, ADA (L.S) and Sh. Charanjit, ADA (L.S) were also attended this camp and explained various legal services Schemes to the villagers. Para Legal Volunteers of Army Institute of Law Mohali also interacted with the people to access their problems and needs.
5.Meet of Chairman, and Secretaries, DLSAs with the Hon'ble Executive Chairman through Video Conferencing on 22.2.2012
Meet of Chairmen and Secretaries of all the District Legal Services Authorities in the State of Punjab was held through Video Conferencing on 22.2.2012. Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M. Kumar, Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority presided over the meet and stressed upon the effective implementation of various schemes and utilization of TFC/NALSA grant available with the DLSAs. On the occasion Mr. U. Sarathchandran, Member Secretary, NALSA was also present and discussed the issues concerning the implementation of the various schemes of NALSA.
6.Laying of Foundation Stone of Office Building of PULSA on 10.3.2012
On 10.3.2012, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, the then Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority laid the foundation stone of the office building of PULSA at sector 69, Mohali. Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.S. Thakur, Judge Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Nijjar, Judge Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ranjan Gogoi, the then Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M. Kumar, the then Acting Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority and other Hon'ble Judges of the High Court graced the occasion.
7.Seminar on Access to Justice for All on 10.3.2012
On 10.3.2012, a Seminar on " Access to Justice for All " was organized by PULSA at Army Institute of Law, Mohali. This seminar was presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, the then Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority. During this Seminar, Students, Para Legal Volunteers and Social Workers were encouraged to come forward for protection of Child Rights. A documentary on protection of Child Rights prepared by PULSA was also shown to sensitize the masses.
8.Seminar at Govt. Ripu Daman College, Nabha on 12.3.2012
Punjab Legal Services Authority in association with the Legal Literacy Club, Govt. Ripu Daman College, Nabha organized a Seminar on 12.3.2012. This Seminar was presided over by Member Secretary, PULSA and Ms. Santosh K. Kumar, Coordinator, Legal Literacy Clubs has been kind enough to spare her valuable time and share here experiences in establishment of similar club in Govt. College, Mohali. Madam Kumar has motivated the club in charge and members to undertake activities as per the scheme in order to spread legal literacy and awareness among masses.
9.19-23 March 2012, Mediation Training to the Trainee Judicial Officersof Punjab
PULSA had organized Mediation Training for the Training Judicial Officers of the State of Punjab w.e.f. 19-23 March, 2012. Total 30 TJO were trained by Trained Trainer of MCPC, New Delhi .
10.Legal Awareness and Free Dental Check up Camp on 4.4.2012
On 4.4.2012, Punjab Legal Services Authority in association with Bal Sansar organized a Legal Awareness and Free Dental Check up Camp in Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Phase 3B-1, S.A. S. Nagar, Mohali. Dr. Misha Kumar and Dr. Ritu Singal both Dental Doctors and Members Bal Sansar had given there voluntary services and examined about 200 School Children. Children were advised and educated on oral health.
11.16-20 April, Mediation Training to the Trainee Judicial Officers ofPunjab
PULSA organized a Mediation Training for 27 Training Judicial officers of the State of Punjab w.e.f. 16-20 April, 2012. The training was imparted by Trained Trainers of Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee, New Delhi.
12.Legal Awareness Camp on Red Cross Day on 8.5.2012
On 8.5.2012, PULSA in association with Red Cross, Punjab organized a Legal Awareness Camp on the eve of Red Cross Day at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh. Dr. Misha Kumar and Dr. Ritu Singal, Members Bal Sansar also attended the same. During this Camp publicity material was distributed among the children. Hon'ble Cabinet Minister, Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Finance Minister, Govt. of Punjab was the Chief Guest of the function organized by the Red Cross, Punjab.
13.Annual General Meeting of Punjab Legal Services Authority
On 28.5.2012, the Annual General Meeting of Punjab Legal Services Authority was organized at U.T. Guest House, Chandigarh, the Meeting was presided over the Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M. Kumar, The then Acting Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. Hon'ble Mr. Justice, Jasbir Singh, the then Executive Chairman of U.T. Legal Services Authority, Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.K. Mittal, Executive Chairman, Haryana Legal Services Authority, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Hemant Gupta, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court also graced the occasion.

Punjab Legal Services Authority in association with Haryana State Legal Services Authority, U.T. 15.Meeting of all the Chairmen, DLSA withHon'ble ExecutiveChairman
On 29.7.12 a meeting of the Chairmen, DLSA with Hon'ble Executive Chairmen, Punjab Legal Services Authority was organized at Chandigarh Judicial Academy. Various issues relating to implementation of the schemes were discussed in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Acting Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority.
16.Meeting of Newly appointed Secretaries DLSA
On 7.8.12, a meeting of all the newly appointed Secretaries, District Legal Services Authorities, was organized at Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Chandigarh. During the Meeting, newly appointed Secretaries were explained about various legal services programme launched by the authority and they were trained to implement the various schemes of the authority.
17.Mediation Training to the Referral Judges on 13.8.12
As per the directions of Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mediation Training programme for the Referral Judge for district Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur organized, wherein the training was imparted by the trainers of Mediation & Conciliation Project Committe from NALSA New Delhi through Video conferencing from NIC centres of the above districts.
18.Workshop on establishment of Legal Aid Clinics in Jail
On 18.8.2012 aWorkshop on establishment of Legal Aid Clinics in Jail organized at Ludhiana, presided over by the Hon'ble Mr. Justsice Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority and attended by the newly appointed Secretaries D.L.S.A of the State of Punjab alongwith Ld. District & Sessions Judge, Ludhiana. Modalities to set up Legal Aid Clinics in all the Jail to provide free and Competent Legal Services to the Jail Inmates discussed.
19.Mediation Training to the Referral Judges on 11.9.2012
As per the directions of Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mediation Training programme for the Referral Judge for district Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, S.B.S. Nagar and Rupnagar organized on 11.9.2012,wherein the training was imparted by the trainers of Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee from NALSA New Delhi through Video conferencing arranged from NIC centres of the above districts.
20Mediation Training to the Retired Judges
PULSA organized a Mediation Training for the 20 Retired Judicial Officers of the State of Punjab w.e.f. 14-16 September, 2012 and 21-23 September, 2012. The training was imparted by Trained Trainers of Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee, New Delhi .
21.Legal Literacy Youth Festival (Inter College Competition) 2012
PULSA initiated a new project to organize "Legal Literacy Youth Festival" (Inter College Competitions) 2012. In this project, competitions were held at District Level, Zonal Level and finally at State level. During these Festivals, competitions like, Painting, Slogan Making, Poster Making, Skits/Drama, Declamation, Power Point Presentation, Photography and Movies/Documentary prepration were held. The topics of the Competitions were Rights of Women/Children, Cruelty against Domestic Violence/Dowry, Female Foeticide, Drug Addiction, Corruption, Fundamental Rights/Duties, Environment Protection, Anti Ragging, Child Labour and Rights of Senior Citizens. The Final State Level Legal Literacy Youth Festival was held at Ludhiana on 24.11.2012 and the same was presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Nijjar, Judge, Supreme Court of India was the Chief Guest. During the Competitions around 8000 students of 300 colleges participated and around 2.5 lac students were sensitized about various social evils and legal rights.
22.Mega Lok Adalat on 15.12.2012.
Punjab Legal Services Authority organized Mega Lok Adalats in various districts of Punjab under the 13th Finance Commission. During the year 2012, through these Lok Adalats total number of 1,87,391 cases were taken up and out of these 1,59,965 cases were disposed and an amount of Rs.230,08,11,905/- was awarded to parties.
23.Programme on Role of Youth in Protecting Rights of Children,Women and Senior Citizens
A Programme on Role of Youth in Protecting Rights of Children, Women and Senior Citizens was held on 15.12.2012 at Khalsa College, Amritsar. This programme was presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, The Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, Chief Justice of India & Patron-in-Chief, NALSA, New Delhi was the Chief Guest. Hon'ble Mr. Justice D.K. Jain, the then Executive Chairman, NALSA was the guest of honour.
24.Inauguration of Legal Aid Clinic
The Punjab Legal Services Authority is establishing Legal Aid Clinics in the districts of the State. One such Legal Aid Clinic was established by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, Chief Justice of India & Patron-in-Chief, NALSA, on 15.12.2012 at Khalsa College, Amritsar. Hon'ble Mr. Justice D.K. Jain, the then Executive Chairman, NALSA also graced the occasion. Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Patron-in-Chief, Punjab Legal Services Authority, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman, PULSA, Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Saron and Sardar Prakash Singh Badal, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Punjab were also present on this occasion.
25.Programme on NRI Abandoned Brides and Illegal Immigration
A programme on NRI Abandoned Brides and Illegal Immigration was held on 16thDecember, 2012 at Panjab University SSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur. This programme was presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, The Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, Chief Justice of India & Patron-in-Chief, NALSA, New Delhi was the Chief Guest. Hon'ble Mr. Justice D.K. Jain, the then Executive Chairman, NALSA was the Guest of honour.
26.Meeting of the Secretaries, DLSAs and Conference on the theme'Justice at the Door Step and Legal Aid to the Poor on 11.1.2013
Under the directions of Hon'ble Executive Chairman, PULSA, a Meeting was held at Chandigarh Judicial Academy on 11.1.2013. The Meeting was on activities undertaken by DLSAs to ensure access to Justice, Key Priorities of the people in the Districts in terms of access to justice and good practices followed and challenges faces in ensuring access to Justice. The meeting was presided by Sh. Munish Singal, Member Secretary, PULSAS. The Member Secretary, NALSA, Mrs. Asha Menon was also present in this meeting.

Legal Awareness Camp was held in the upcoming Complex of Rajiv Gandhi National University of law, Village Sidhuwal, Patiala and Interaction with the Children of SOS Village, held at SOS Rajpura on 2.2.2013. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, Chief Justice of India & Patron-in-Chief, NALSA, New Delhi was the Chief Guest. Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. 28.Foundation Stone laying Ceremony of Bathinda on 16.2.13
Foundation Stone of ADR Centre at Bathinda was laid on 16.2.13. In this programme ADR Building Foundation Stone was laid by Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab & Haryana . Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman, PULSA and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ranjit Singh, Chairman, Building Committee, Punjab & Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain, Administrative Judge, Bathinda Sessions Division, was also graced the occasion.
29.Inauguration of ADR Centre Patiala on 12.3.2013.
On 12.03.2013, firsteverADR Center of the State was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr.Justice A.K. Sikri, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court in presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and the then Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority, and other Hon'ble Judges of the High Court.This ADR Centre has been constructed out of TFC Grant. This is an State of Art ADR Centre & Has been made as model ADR Centre for Others to come up in the State.
30.Mobile Legal Literacy Mission
The State Authority has taken a step further and had purchased 6 more Bolero Vans for spreading Legal Literacy among masses by holdingLegal Literacy Camps and Seminars in remote and rural areas of the State.Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, the then Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court flagged off the Bolero Vans on 12.3.2013 for spreading Legal Literacy in the State of Punjab.These vehicles have been scheduled for all the Districts on rotation basis under the supervision of the Secretary, District Legal Services Authorities.
31.Meeting of Sub-Committee of PULSA held on 4.3.2013 & 21.3.2013
Meeting of Sub-Committee of PULSA to decide the Topics of Law and study material for the Subject of Legal Literacy to be introduced in the Schools for 9thClass and in the Colleges for IInd Year Degree Classes held on 4.3.2013 & 21.3.2013 at Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Sector 43, Chandigarh. Both the meetings was presided over by Member Secretary, PULSA.

A meeting to finalize modalities of providing Legal services in villages and to start Pilot Project in at least one village in each block was held on 7.5.2013 at 4.00 P.M. in the Chamber of Hon'ble Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court.
35.Laying the Foundation Stone of ADR Centre, Sangrur & Barnala
Foundation Stone of ADR Centre at Sangrur and Barnala was laid on 12.5.2013 by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab & Haryana. Hon'ble Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Saron, Chairman, Building Committee, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Administrative Judge, Sessions Division, Sangrur, also graced the occasion.

38 Colloquium on Mediation on 13.7.2013 at Chandigarh JudicialAcademy, Chandigarh.
The Punjab Legal Services Authority, organized a Colloquium on Mediation on 13.7.2013 in the Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Chandigarh which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Patron-in-Chief, Punjab Legal Services Authority. Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.K. Sikri, Judge, Supreme Court of India, graced the occasion.
39. Legal Literacy Mission through Edusat Program (Education ThroughSatellite).
Punjab Legal Services Authority in association with Edusat Department, Punjab, had launched a legal Literacy Mission through Edusat on 4.9.2013 at Punjab School Education Board, Phase VIII, Mohali. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court presided over the Programme. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Execution Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Judge, High Court of Punjab & Haryana were also present on this occasion. On that about 1.5 lakhs students enrolled in Class VII in the Government Schools in the State of Punjab were sensitized about various schemes launched by NALSA/PULSA, Rights of Women, Rights of Children etc.
39. WorkshopofSecretaries, DLSAofPunjab & Haryana on 21st& 22ndSeptember, 2013
Punjab Legal Services Authority in association with Haryana State Legal Services Authority, has organized a Workshop for CJM-cum-Secretaries, DLSAs of Punjab & Haryaa on 21st-22ndSeptember, 2013 at Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Sector 43, Chandigarh. The Workshop was presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman, PULSA and Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.K. Mittal, Executive Chairman, HSLSA. Ms. Asha Menon, Member Secretary, NALSA , was also present in this Workshop. This workshop was organized to discuss on various topics like Constitution Provisions relating to Free legal Aid, Legal Sevices Authorities Act 1987 alongwith Rules and Regulatios made there under, NALSA/PULSA Regulations & Scheme, Activities undertaken by Legal Services Authorities to ensure access to justice, Mediation as an ADR tool, Distict Mediation Centres, Accounts/Budget provided by State Govt. and Grants given by NALSA and TFC, Difficulties being faced by DLSAs to implement the various schemes and programmes.

An awareness programme on Mediation was organised at Patiala on 21st& 22ndSeptember, 2013, in which trained Mediators of MCPC of Hon'ble Suprme Court of India participated and made awareness to trained Mediators, Referral Judges and Advocates.
41. Meeting with all the Heads of Departments to discuss the matters pertaining to holding of National Lok Adalats held on 30.9.2013
A Meeting with all the Heads of Departments was convened on 30.9.2013 regarding discuss the matters pertaining to holding of National Lok Adalat, so as to ensure that maximum number of persons can motivated fro getting their cases decided in the National Lok Adalat. The Meeting was Chaired by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court, -cum-Patron-in Chief, Legal Services Authorities of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh.

A workshop of Secretaries, DLSAs in the State of Punjab was organized on 15.10.2013 held at district Ludhiana, in which all the Secretaries were sensitized about the various schemes of NALSA/PULSA and LAMS, LARS Softwares developed by this authority,
43. Awareness Program on Mediation dated 19-20, October, 2013.
Awareness Programme on Mediation and Conciliation was organized at District Ludhiana, on 19-20, October, 2013 in which trained Mediator of MCPC, New Delhi, imparted awareness to the advocates, referral judges and trained Mediators about the importance and Benefits of Mediation and Conciliation. Furtherthey have highlight the need of awareness to be made to make it more people friendly to settle their dispute.

An awareness programme on Mediation was organised at Jalandhar on 26-27 October, 2013, in which trained Mediators of MCPC of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India participated and made awareness to trained Mediators, Referral Judges and Advocates.

In this Seminar Students of RGNUL were apprised about various Legal Services Schemes launched by NALSA/PULSA.

47. Jail Visit by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Chief Justice Punjab & Haryana High Court on 9.11.2013
On 9.11.2013, Hon'ble Mr. justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Patron-in-Chief, Punjab Legal Services Authority visited Central Jail at Patiala. A Camp Court was organized in Central Jail, Patiala and during this visit Hon'ble Chief Justice released the some of Jail inmates

An awareness programme on Mediation was organised at Ferozepur on 16-17 November, 2013, in which trained Mediators of MCPC of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India participated and made awareness to trained Mediators, Referral Judges and Advocates.
49. National Lok Adalat held on 23.11.2013
Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice P.S. Sathasivam, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India and under the directions of Hon’ble Mr. Justice G.S. Singhvi, Judge, Supreme Court of India-cum-Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat was held in each court in the entire country on 23.11.2013 and it was inaugurated by Hon’ble MR. Justice P Sathasivam, in all the courts simultaneously through web telecast in 600 districts and all the High Courts. In this context, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab & Haryana and Patron-in-chief, Punjab Legal Services Authority had held meetings with the Senior Government Officials and the District Judges, with the objective to sensitize them to dispose maximum number of cases in the National Lok Adalat. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Judge, High Court of Punjab & Haryana-cum- Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority, took active interest in the organization of Lok Adalats in the entire state of Punjab. Under his directions, the process of identification of cases for disposal in the Lok Adalat began in the month of August, 2013 and all the Judicial Officers, Revenue Authorities, Consumer Courts, Debt Recovery Tribunal, Punjab, Labour Tribunal and other Govt. Departments put in their best efforts for three months to provide speedy justice to the Litigants. In the National Lok Adalat held in Punjab,4,24,611cases were taken up out of which3,32,438cases were disposed in which the amount of Rs.4,53,09,45,018/-was settled.

53.Inauguration of Village Legal Aid Clinics on 24.1.2014
Under the directions of NALSA, New Delhi, a programme was organized at Village Gharuan, Mohali for setting up one Village Legal Services Clinic regarding their setting in each Taluk Sub-division thoughout the country on 24.1.2014 at 4.30 p.m through video – conferencing/ webcast. The function was presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman, PULSA. A large number of people of nearby Villages were also presented. The people of villages were made aware regarding their Legal Rights and Lok Adalats.

60.Conference on Menace of Drugs Held at Manali
A three day conference on “Menace of Drugs in India-An Overall View, Challenges and Way Forward” was held at Manali, H.P. w.e.f. 11th June, 2015 to 13th June, 2015. This Conference was organized by Himachal Pradesh Legal Services Authority. The main objective behind this Conference was to find out that in what way the Legal Services Institutions can play their roles for checking this hazard by strictly enforcing the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. This Conference was attended by Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority and Member Secretary, Punjab Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh. The commitment of Punjab Govt. to eradicate this social evil can be gauged from the fact that it was also attended by the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home, and the IG-cum-Director Special Narcotics Cell Bureau, Punjab.

Punjab Legal Services Authority On 10.10.2015, organized a seminar on World Mental Health Day. This seminar was organized in collaboration with All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, Sangrur. This Seminar was organized as per guidelines issued under National Legal Services Authority (Legal Services to mentally ill persons and persons with Mental Disabilities) Scheme, 2010 for protecting the rights of the persons who suffer from mental illness. One of the aims to be achieved is to create awareness amongst the masses and to sensitize them about the rights of such persons. 62.Video Conferencing/Meetings
In order to make National Lok Adalats a success, immediate efforts begun under the able guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice S.S.Saron, Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority through Video Conferencing. The results are self speaking. During the National Lok Adalat held on 12.12.2015, despite Punjab being a very small state, it was ranked fifth in total disposal of cases and was ranked second in disbursement of amount in the lok adalat. 66.EVENT AGAINST DRUGS
To weed out the Menance of drugs, from the State of Punjab, the Punjab Legal Services Authority on 27.05.2016 took out a campaign to senstize the public to fight against the use of intoxicants in the society. Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Saron, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority in the company of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surinder Gupta, flagged of a rally of about 300 school students from SAS Nagar to intitate the campaign through the State of Punjab. This rally was followed by various presentations about the harms and consequences of dug abuse and various provisions governing the law against the drug abuse. This campaign was simultaneously undertaken in all the districts of Punjab on the same day. The General public also joined the ralies all over the Punjab to lend support to the cause and to show their deisre to uproot this Menance totally. All over Punjab about 4900 people participated in the ralies.
67.EVENTS ORGANIZED ON BUILDING AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION WORKERS IN THE UNORGANIZED SECTOR
To take forward the efforts of NALSA by formulating a scheme for workers involved in unorganized sector, a State level function was organized on rights of Building and Other Construction Workers in the Unorganized Sector, on 29.07.2016 in all the districts of Punjab. This programme was organized by Punjab Legal Services Authority in association with Labour department Punjab. During this programme labourers were made aware about benefits of registration under the schemes of "Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board". A total number of 21692 workers were got registered and 12007 cards were delivered to them during the said programme.
68.TREE PLANATION PROGRAM
On 30.8.2016, a tree planation programme was organized by the Punjab Legal Services Authority in every district of the State of Punjab under the able guidance of all the Chairpersons of District Legal Services Authorities, for making people aware about the environment protection. More than 6000 trees were planted in one signle day, all over the State, during the programme.
69.MEDICAL CAMP
On 24.9.2016, a Medical Camp was organized by Distirct Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar in the Court Complex in coordination with the Civil Surgeon, S.A.S. Nagar. This Camp was presided over by the Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Saron, Excutive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority and attended by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surinder Gupta, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Sh. G.S. Matharoo, the then Member Secretary, PULSA. In this camp, a counter for providing free medication upon the prescriptions so made by the Doctors was set up and medicines were provided free of costs as prescribed by the Doctors. All types of Medical facilities were made available in the camp. Such Medical Camps were also organized in all the Districts of Punjab.
70.INAUGURATION OF BABY CARE CENTRE
Showing a concern for the welfare of children and working women, the Executive Chairman inaugurated a "Baby Care Centre" at ADR Building, Rupnagar on 20.5.2017 in the presence of Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, SSP and Deputy Commission, Rupnagar. The District Legal Services Authority, Mohali opened such centre in the Judicial Court Complex for tending the children of Judicial Officers and Staff of District Judiciary. The Day Care Centre was inaugugrated on 29.3.2017 by Hon'ble Ms. Justice Daya Chaudhary, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court in the august presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surinder Gupta, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court in the august presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surinder Gupta, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Administrative Judge S.A.S. 72.WORKSHOP ON "BRIDGING THE GAP IN ACCESS TO JUSTICE; ROLE OF JUDICIAL OFFICERS AND LAW STUDENT" (02.9.2017)
A student who does not help a poor or an uneducated person has incomplete education. He may acquire a degree but his education remains incomplete. This was the advice given by Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S. Saron, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, while motivating the law students during a Workshop on "Bridging the Gap in Access to Justice; Role of Judicial Officers and Law Student", the Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S.Saron, also released a book published by Punjab State Legal Services Authority on Court Room Language and Comon Man written by Dr. Rajneesh, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Patiala. While motivating the law students who participated in the said conference from Army Institute of Law, SAS Nagar, Chandigarh University, Gharuan and Rayat and Bahara University, Saharuan, Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S.Saron, emphasized the need of involvement of law students with rustic people having rural background to understand the practical problems and issues being faced by poor and marginalized sections of the society. His Lordship emphasised that they would make Law Students mature and seasoned advocates. On World Mental Health Day, Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority inaugurated a "Legal Aid Clinic" at Government De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre, Sector 66, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali which is Psychiatric Wing of Civil Hospital, Mohali in the presence of Dr. Rajive Bhalla, Director, Health and Family Welfare, Sh. Vivek Puri, Secretary Law & Justice, Mrs. Archana Puri, District & Sessions Judge, S.A.S. Nagar, Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Deputy Commissioner, S.A.S. Nagar, S.S.P, S.A.S. Nagar and Civil Surgeon, S.A.S. Nagar. Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority informed the gathering that the "Legal Aid Clinic" will provide legal assistance to mentally ill/mentally disabled persons and their family members. A panel lawyer and para legal volunteer of District Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar would sit in the Legal Aid Clinic and they would provide all the help to them.
74. ORGANIZATION OF MEET ON THE WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY (10.10.2017)
A meet was organized at NIPER, Sector 67, SAS Nagar in which, the medical specialist, officer of department of Social Security, District Administration, Police Authorities including all SHOs, Law students, Students of National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Panel Advocates of Legal Services Authorities,Para Legal Volunteers and NGOs participated. The said meet was organized to promote, protect and ensure that mentally ill and mentally disabled persons enjoy the Human Rights and they get all the required medical care and treatment.
75. ORGANIZATION OF "THE WALK" (11.11.2017)
To connect with the people of the States of Punjab, U.T.Chandigarh and Haryana and to create awareness about the availability of legal services for poor and marginalized segment of the society, the Hon'ble the Chief Justice S.J.Vazifdar, the Patron-in-Chief of State Legal Services Authorities flagged off "The Walk", today from High Court of Punjab and Haryana in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K.Mittal, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant and Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority. The Hon'ble Judges of the High Court and Para Legal Volunteers participated in the walk from High Court building to Sukhna Lake. The students of Chandigarh University Gharuan, Rayat & Bahra University Kharar, Universal Law College, Lalru and other Senior officers of S.A.S. Nagar also participated in the walk.
76. VISIT OF HON'BLE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN DURING "CONNECTING TO SERVE" (18.11.2017)
During "Connecting to Serve", the Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority took the initiative to personally visit the magrinalized segment of the society and to those who are in actual need. Hon'ble Executive Chairman visited Parkash Memorial Deaf and Dumb Society, Rupnagar on 18.11.2017 and interacted with the specially abled children and delivered a motivational address to the children of labourers and listened the problems of the children who assembled in the said school for the event. Tree Plantation was also done.
On 18.11.2017,Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority also visited the slum area at Hambran Road, Ludhiana which is having population approximately 1000 which includes 300 children appx. Hon'ble Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority also visited a School Run in a Hut for the children of labourers living in that slum area. Children from two other slum schools also assembled there. Hon'ble Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority had an interactive session with the children and residents of Slum Area and heard their grievances and personally coordinated at the spot with the officers of the District Administration and Civil Surgeon for taking appropriate steps.
On 18.11.2017,Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority also visited "BAL GHAR" Run by Swami Ganga Nand Bhuri Wale Trust, Mullanpur, Ludhiana and met the children who are abandoned, orphans, waiting adoption and held a detailed discussion with the organizers of the trust for the redressal of difficulties being faced by them in running a home for such children.
On 18.11.2017,Hon'ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority also visited "Community Centre for Mentally Retarded and Blind, Jamalpur, Ludhiana. The Hon'ble Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority interacted with the specially abled students of the M.R. School and Community Centre, appreciated the skill of the students and asked the district administration to provide the requisite infrastructure as soon as possible.

78. PROGRAMME "TALK ON DISABILITY-PREVENTION OR/AND THE WAY AHEAD" ORGANIZED AT CHANDIGARH JUDICIAL ACADEMY (5.5.2018)
On 05.5.2018, A Programme "Talk on Disability-Prevention or/and The Way Ahead" was organized at Chandigarh Judicial Academy by Punjab State Legal Services Authority in association with the NGO-SIOLI. In the Programme a Panel discussion followed by open house discussion took place regarding the rights of Specially Abled Children with special emphasis on the provisions of Right to Person with Disability Act, 2016. The Programme was attended by Specially Abled Children, their parents, NGOs working for the needs of such children, Secretaries of the District Legal Services Authority of the State of Punjab and the Para Legal Volunteers from those districts.

79. Creating awareness about rights of SMARTIAN: to save accident injured – A State Level Programme (29.10.2018)
A State level programme to create awareness has been launched regarding the rights of SMARTIANs as per the spirit of the decision dated 29.10.2014 of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Writ Petition (C) No. 235 of 2012 titled as “ Save Life Foundation Vs. Union of India & Others” .
80. Door to door campaign
As per directions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, Punjab State Legal Services Authority has conducted Door to Door Campaign w.e.f. 09.11.2018 to 18.11.2018. As many as 1,84,038 persons were informed about the availability of free legal services. 12,967 persons were identified who were in need of Free Legal Services and eligible to get Free Legal Services. 854 villages/urban areas were covered during the said campaign.

As per instructions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and under the able guidance of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, a State Level Legal Services Camp- “Chetna” has been organised in District Gurdaspur on 18.11.2018 at Government Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Village Bhikhariwal, District Gurdaspur, in order to enable the villagers to get the benefits under the beneficial/Welfare Schemes of Government and also to make them aware about their entitlement. During the camp total 60/70 villages were covered.

83. 40 Hour Mediation Training
40 hrs Mediation Training Programme was organised on 10th to 14th November, 2018 and 30th November, 2018 to 04th December, 2018 in the office building of State Authority at SAS Nagar. Total 04 Judicial Officers, 02 Retired Judicial Officers and 45 Advocates were imparted training in the said programme.

As per instructions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and under the able guidance of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, a State Level Legal Services Camp- “Chetna” has been organised in District Patiala on 23.02.2019 at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law in Village Sidhuwal, Bhadson Road, Patiala District Patiala, in order to enable the villagers to get the benefits under the beneficial/Welfare Schemes of Government and also to make them aware about their entitlement.
86. 40 Hour Mediation Training
40 hrs Mediation Training Programme was organised on 02nd -04th February, 2019 and 16th-18th February, 2019 in the Chandigarh Judicial Academy. Total 26 Advocates were imparted training in the said programme.
87. 40 Hour Mediation Training
First Phase of 40 hrs Mediation Training Programme was organised on 08th -10th March, 2019 in the Chandigarh Judicial Academy. Total 13 Judicial Officers and 13 Advocates were imparted training during the said phase.
88. CAMPAIGN ON EVE OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY-
Punjab State Legal Services Authority has launched a campaign on 13.03.2019 on the eve of International Women Day, 2019 under the theme “Mamta Di Udari”: Reaching out to Women in Remote areas to provide legal aid and connecting them to welfare schemes”
The said Campaign was implemented in the Districts in coordination with Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development by involving various Governments Authorities and Panchayats. Women at the grass root level were imparted literacy on their legal rights and effective solutions were provided to them by resolving their grievances by way of providing legal aid/legal advice on the spot and connecting them to various welfare schemes run by State/Centre Government.

89. ORGANIZATION OF AWARENESS CAMPS IN JAILS

State Legal Services Authority has organized Awareness Camps in Jails to inform the jail inmates about the provisions and rules regulating the prison labour & wages and other rights of the Prisoners.
90. “Holding Hands and Reaching to Them” for Homeless and People with Special Needs in SAS Nagar , on 02 Apr 2019
As per section 12 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the State Legal Services Authority is required to make the provisions including reasonable accommodation to ensure that the person with disabilities have access to any scheme, programme, facility or service offered by them equally with others. Therefore, to alleviate the pain and sufferings of Homeless and Helpless people, Punjab State Legal Services Authority has created a project "Holding Hands and Reaching to Them" for Homeless and people with special needs
The said Project has been launched by Punjab State Legal Services Authority on 2nd April, 2019 and Shelter Home was adopted by District Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar under the project. Under this project a special web portal will also be developed to cater to the needs of homeless and People with special needs.
Under the first phase of the said Project, one "Shelter for Urban Homeless" situated each in District Amritsar, Patiala and SAS Nagar (Mohali) are to be adopted by the concerned DLSA at the pilot stage. The Hand Holding Team of DLSA will also adopt a Hospital in their respective Districts. During the Initial Phase of this project a cancer patient was handheld by the State Legal Services Authority and immediate assistance was provided to him.
91. Legal Assistance to the Family Members of Prisoners
1st May, 2019 to 31st May, 2019 (First Stage) and Second Stage after 31st May, 2019
As per directions of National Legal Services Authority "A Campaign for Legal Assistance to the family Members of the Prisoners" was carried out throughout the State of Punjab in two stages i.e. First Stage w.e.f. 01.5.2019 and Second Stage w.e.f. 01.6.2019. During the campaign Teams were formed and were assigned the work for interaction with the inmates in order to find out their legal needs/problems.
92. Training programme on legal services management system and e-prison 30-04-2019
Punjab State Legal Services Authority organized one day Training Programme on Legal Services Management System and E-Prison on 30.4.2019 at Chandigarh Judicial Academy. During the said Training Programme, Training was imparted to Secretaries, District Legal Services Authorities, Panel Advocates from Districts, Para Legal Volunteers, Staff of District Legal Services Authorities and State Legal Services Authority with respect to Schemes and Resolutions of NALSA.
93. Launching of Campaign “Instilling Cnfidence Amongst Elderly” "Sath da Saath" and Special Campagin "Lassi da Chhanna te Bachiyan da Saath" at Army Institute of Law,SAS Nagar on 07th May, 2019
As per NALSA (Legal Services to Senior Citizens), Scheme, 2016, Punjab State Legal Services Authority has Launched a Project- Instilling Confidence amongst elderly- “Sath Da Sath” and has planned Special Campaign- “Lassi da channa te bachiyan da sath” for senior citizens. Under this project, the main objective is to utilize the Legal Aid clinics as ONE STOP PLATFORM for senior citizens to address their grievances and to create a healthy association between the Legal Aid clinics and Legal Literacy clubs to foster robust linkages between the younger generation and the elderly.
Punjab State Legal Services has also released a book – “A Guide on Rights and Privileges of Parents and Senior Citizens under the said project”. The Punjabi translation of the guidebook is also prepared to make it ready-to-read for the senior citizens in Punjab.
The said project has been launched by Punjab State Legal Services Authority on 7th May, 2019 at Army Institute of Law, Mohali. Close to 450 senior citizens and 50 students were invited from across the state to join the event. The program was also attended by the representatives of NGOs, Panel Lawyers, Para legal Volunteers, medical representatives etc. The program encompassed Medical camp for senior citizens for their health check up pertaining to General Medicine, orthopedic, gynecology, ENT, Eye & Dental Check up. It also incorporated diagnostic tests for the senior citizens. Close to 200 people got benefitted out of the medical camp. Spectacles and wheel chairs were made accessible to the senior citizens as per their needs.
First “Sath” for senior citizens was inaugurated on the same day at Army Institute of Law Mohali where the Senior Citizens can engage in informal discussions and get solutions to their grievances through this one stop platform to cater to their complaints.
94. LOCAL LEVEL CONSULTATION WITH LEGAL AID FUNCTIONARIES
Local Level Consultation with Legal Aid Functionaries was organized on 20th May, 2019 at Amritsar by National Legal Services Authority Team. The team interacted with Secretaries, District Legal Services Authorities, Panel Advocates and Para Legal Volunteers. The main focus of the interaction was on the functioning of basic units like Front Offices, Legal Services Clinics, existing procedures with regard to court based legal services and approach with regard to outreach programme in Punjab.
